Kolektor group

Friday was nice! Instead of Dynamics, we had a trip to the Kolektor group. Kolektor is the largest manufacturer of commutators in the world. We went to see the head manufacturing plant in Idrija. After a nice introduction in the Idrija castle, which had us hooked on inovations from the company and the importance in the world wide industry, we went to the main production plant. There we saw the steps required to make a commutator. We then went into the design office and learned about the steps of the product realization from the idea to the production. After the trip around the plant, we were taken to the other parts of the kolektor programs and after lunch back to ljubljana surviving the 'nice' curvy road that leads to the interstate.
